Dr. Jessie Esparza received her B.A. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 2011 and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016.
From a very young age she has always wanted to be a veterinarian. Her parents insisted she could grow up to be whatever I wanted, but after they gifted her a Playskool doctor kit at the age of three her fate was sealed. She took it upon herself to play “dog doctor” with her two childhood Shelties on a daily basis. Following those formative years, her love of animals and science continued to grow and her interest in veterinary medicine persisted.
She has developed a particular interest in internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and ophthalmology. A core part of her medical ethic involves nurturing and strengthening the human-animal bond as well as educating pet guardians on the importance of preventative medicine.
Dr. Esparza was raised locally in The Colony, Texas and practiced for a few years out in Glenwood Springs, Colorado before venturing back to Texas and joining the Main Street Veterinary Hospital team.
Outside of veterinary medicine Dr. Esparza is an avid gamer, reader, and writer. She shares her home with her two domestic shorthairs, Aramis and Miso.
