Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic opened its doors in 1988 and was originally located on Main Street in Lewisville. Our original location was a lease space that we rapidly outgrew. In 1993, the practice was moved to a beautiful 7,000 square foot facility on a wooded lot in Flower Mound. In March of 2005, we added our dental suite and became a referral hospital for veterinary dentistry. Our hospital is staffed by doctors who truly have a love for animals, and pet care team members who are knowledgeable and caring. Our team receives continuing education and training so that your pet can receive the most up-to-date care possible. From the latest ultrasound equipment to advanced surgical procedures, Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic offers the highest level of care available.
The Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic pet care team strongly believes that all pets deserve to be treated in a fair, respectable manner. We believe our animal patients have the right to:
- Receive quality preventive care
- An accurate diagnosis
- Be free of pain and discomfort
- A clean cage, food and water
- Be treated with affection
An American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accredited facility, Main Street Veterinary Hospital and Dental Clinic received our initial accreditation in 1998. Since that time, we have regularly undergone evaluations to ensure that we meet or exceed AAHA's standards of care. These standards cover basically every aspect of the hospital, including surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, patient care, cleanliness, client service, emergency services, diagnostic imaging and anesthesiology. Only approximately 15 percent of animal hospitals in the United States and Canada are accredited by AAHA. AAHA accreditation is strictly voluntary; we have chosen to undergo this process to demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards of veterinary care. AAHA standards are recognized around the world as the benchmark for quality care in veterinary medicine.
