Surgery
We combine modern technology with old-fashioned loving care to make surgical procedures as safe and stress-free as possible.
Post-Surgical Handouts
We perform preanesthetic bloodwork to check your pet’s body functions and help make anesthesia as safe as possible.
We place an intravenous catheter in your pet’s leg and administer fluid therapy to support your pet’s kidney function and blood pressure during the surgical procedure.
Our surgeons choose the safest and most gentle medications and design an anesthesia program based on your pet’s individual needs.
We emphasize pain prevention and management to make your pet’s surgery as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
Our surgeon and surgery team are scheduled just for surgeries and do not see appointments during their surgery day, so they are able to focus their entire attention on your pet.
Our trained surgery staff never leaves your pet’s side, constantly monitoring respiration, heart function and temperature during surgery. They also assess your pet for signs of pain or distress.
Your pet will be awakened in a nurse’s arms and held until they can sit up on their own.
Once your pet has awakened and can sit up, he/she will be carefully observed by our trained ICU nurses.
